In May this year (2013) I published a book on health, UK general practice and what works in medicine. The book is called “A Sceptical GP”, and it is available as a paperback from the publishers and as a kindle edition (published in October 2012) from Amazon.

I have had many comments  about it and most people tell me what they most enjoy about the book is the way in which they can learn things they didn’t know before through the many patient stories.

Since I wrote the book of course things keep changing. So this blog is going to be a means by which I update the book and write about current  topics  in which I have a particular interest, again using patient stories and recent scientific evidence.

Helo! I’m currently reading your book and finding it very interesting! Just curious to know your views on vaccines – I have a 10 month old as yet unvaccinated boy, I’m as yet undecided whether to vaccinate him or not, or whether to delay it, or do them singly, etc etc and find it hard to find any balanced viewpoints on them!
    Thank you for your book!
